Description
Chair, 'Cone', aluminium / steel / silk, Marc Newson, Sydney, Australia, 1986
The chair is constructed from aluminium sheet and steel rivets, and consists of a conical form with the apex centrally supported within a hemispherical shaped base on the floor. The seat, the interior surface of the back and the exposed interior of the base are upholstered in a cream-coloured silk brocade that features floral, leaf and fruit motifs.
