FIT awards Gaetano Pesce their 2009 Lawrence Israel Prize
Gaetano PesceThe Interior Design Department at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) is proud to announce this year’s honoree of the 2009 Lawrence Israel Prize… Gaetano Pesce. Artist, Architect, designer, filmmaker urban planner and teacher Mr. Pesce shapes our world with a unique and critical voice.  Well ensconced in any chronology of our profession, his work is cherished by every major design collection from MoMA to Tokyo.

We look forward to his Lawrence J. Israel Prize lecture to be given on Tuesday April 14th 2009 at 5:45in the John E. Reeves Great Hall of the Fashion Institute of Technology.  Entry will be through the D Building on the Northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and 27 Street. No reservations required, admission is free and open to the public.
